
A Black Hills spruce was cut from this stump and taken to Washington D.C. where it was the center of attention at the Christmas Pagent of Peace on the White House lawn in December 1955.
1955 National Christmas Tree on display in Washington DC was cut in the Black Hills Forest under President Ike Eisenhower. A small group of people are viewing the tree.
